Sharing Jesus isn’t about your strength or ability—it’s the Holy Spirit’s work from start to finish

Kinakabahan ka ba when sharing Jesus?
We all know that sharing Jesus is part of our calling as a Christian, pero aminin natin - minsan nakakatakot at nakakakaba. We think, "What if mali ang sinasabi ko?" What if it's awkward, or worse, what if I offend the person?" You might even worry that you're coming off as pushy or forceful. Pero sa totoo lang, this way of thinking assumes that salvation depends on you - and it doesn't.
Here's the truth: It's not about you. Jesus is the main focus of the Gospel. And the Holy Spirit is there to guide and empower you to share Him.
Evangelism is about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ - His life, death, and resurrection - to call people to repentance, faith, and a personal relationship with Him. It’s about a supernatural transformation of someone’s heart, mind, and soul. And guess what? Transformation is the Holy Spirit's work.
So it’s essential that we open our hearts and surrender ourselves to His moving in our lives.
Heart transformation is the Holy Spirit’s focus. In Ezekiel 36:26–27, God promises to give people “a new heart and put a new spirit” within them.
This is not something we can do on our own. It’s the work of the Holy Spirit—both in our lives and in the lives of those we share the Gospel with.
So the weight of changing someone’s heart? Hindi mo responsibility 'yan. Your part is simply to obey—to speak, to share—and let God do the rest.
So, how can you learn to rely on the Holy Spirit's power imbes sa sarili mong lakas? Here are three simple ways:
1. Pray for a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit
Romans 8:26 reminds us that “the Spirit helps us in our weakness.” Bago ka mag-share about Jesus, humingi ka muna ng tulong sa Holy Spirit na magtiwala ka sa Kanya. Pray for guidance and confidence, not from your own strength, but from His power working through you.
2. Faithful sharing of the Gospel happens through His grace and power
So step out in obedience, even when it feels scary, trusting that He who called you is faithful to equip and use you for His glory. And as you do, you can rest assured that your efforts are part of God’s greater plan to draw others to Himself John 14:26 tells us that “the Holy Spirit will teach and remind us of everything we need to say.” Trust that He will equip you in the moment.
3. Pray over the seed
Pagkatapos mo mag-share, pray that He’ll nurture the seed you planted, because without Him, no one can come to faith.
Pray that God’s Word would take deep root in their hearts and minds, producing genuine repentance and faith. Ask Him to keep working in their life - convicting, illuminating, and renewing their hearts.
Imagine what sharing your faith looks like when you rest in the truth that heart transformation is God’s work alone. Our role is not to convince or convert by your own effort, but to faithfully proclaim the Word and trust the Spirit to do what only He can do. Isn’t that a far more freeing and God-honoring approach to evangelism?
You’re not carrying the weight of changing someone—work 'yan ng Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, your Counselor, the One who equips and empowers you for faithful witness (Acts 1: 8). Your job? Show up, be obedient, share Jesus, and let the Holy Spirit handle the rest.
